Because I retain my rights for anything I publish I look to double task. It's an entirely other process. Anybody can self-publish, but that is why the article is here. We're all figuring this out for ourselves. But like I said. Double tasking. Last thing. Nowadays it might be easier to attract a publisher if you have sales behind you.

U.L. Now, I do agree to end gun free zones, even I don't think they'll help in the long run. The example I'll cite is that robbery years ago, when dudes new they'd be doing combat. I'm thinking more of that will happen. Remember the arguments then? Should cops have automatic weapons? Lol!

Even with that I'm saying bring on the guns. Because like I was saying, safety is a feeling, not an actuality. Arm everybody. I'm cool with it.

U.L. Really?

I agree that the illusion of safety in society is false, and that it will never be the utopia that the gun grabbers think it will be without guns. But, nobody is saying guns will stop all violence either, just reduce the amount of it. I know you don't believe this is really possible, and I don't blame you because you never hear of this happening. But here's a little secret, it happened a week and a half before Sandy Hook, at that Oregon mall shooting. Dude was stocked up on ammo, in a crowded mall during Christmas...only two people killed. Why? Because a guy with a concealed weapons permit(CCW) pointed a gun at the shooter, didn't even fire at the shooter because he was afraid of missing and hitting someone in the background, shooter sees the CCW guy pointing a gun at him, turns his own gun on himself, ending what could have been much worse than Sandy Hook. True story...but you never heard it anywhere on the news. Dude with the CCW should be a household name right now, a Sully Sullenberger, "the angel of the mall" or some shit. Instead, we've got a 24 hour news cycle, full of pundits who don't know the difference between a "clip" and a "magazine", full-auto and semi-auto, and half of the mostly cosmetic features that make an "assault rifle", saying that a teacher with a gun locked in a drawer in their desk is morally inferior to an unarmed woman lunging at guy pointing a gun at them. No one is saying "arm everyone", just that "gun free zones" don't work.

Fun fact to know and tell: Since 1950, every single mass shooting, except for one, has happened in a "gun free zone".

Re: U.L. When i started reading this, it finally clicked in my head what you said a couple years ago about female writers. How they are extremely descriptive and take forever to get to the point sometimes.

I think if the age range wasn't pre teen it would have been more gory, but i think the writer had to keep it pg.
I don't know if you read any of the other books but they are just as good in my opinion. You really see how katniss has changed in the last book

Re: Us Writers Who Stand Alone

I completely agree. But, I hate series that continue onto, like, twenty books...I get bored after about six of them, unless it's a REALLY great series!

Re: Us Writers Who Stand Alone

Makes perfect sense.

U.L.
